Originally from the Charlotte, NC area, Steve moved to Wilmington in the 1980’s to study natural sciences at UNCW, where he graduated with a BS in Geology in 1990. Working for a land surveyor/developer during his college career, he learned about the land development process, and became intimately familiar with Wilmington and the surrounding areas. After graduation, he began a career in the consulting field, which continues today, and includes assisting area landowners and developers with all aspects of land entitlement (i.e., permitting and supporting studies including site development evaluations, etc.), as well as environmental assessment and remediation, water resources work, residential heating oil tank assessment and removal, etc. Steve has been licensed as a real estate broker since 2006, targeting primarily the residential housing market, as well as the vacant land market ever since, much of the time as managing broker of his own firm.

His experience and career skill set enables him to advise clients feasibly and confidently in the buying and selling process, while avoiding common pitfalls. He has a passion for working with clients in buying and selling residential properties, as well as assisting investors in purchasing viable properties for successful development, and in buying and selling investment properties. Steve is detail-oriented and constantly keeps his eye on market trends so that he can be a dependable source of information to advise clients of market conditions. He strives to serve his clients in the most effective way possible, and in a most fiduciary capacity to ensure their best interests are always held paramount.
